OPENING NIGHT HONOREE: Pam Crutchfield
Pamela L. Crutchfield
In recognition of her very generous and multi-faceted support for the company over many years, the company is very pleased to honor Pamela Crutchfield at the opening night celebration. Her support for our mission of creating new works of art reflects a deep connection with of our very purpose for being. She has been instrumental in the creation of several of our dances, beginning with Myron Szold’s commissioning of Love Stories in her honor, and continuing with her own very generous commissioning support for The Legend of Ten and Crazy 8’s. She has frequently shared her wise counsel with us, has graciously hosted our company in her home, and has served as a key supporter of the Chicago Dancing Festival, co-founded by Lar Lubovitch and Jay Franke.
Pam is well know for her support of numerous arts organizations in her native Chicago, where she co-founded DanceWorks Chicago (devoted to the professional development of young dancers and choreographers) and served for many years on the board of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. On a national level, she has also served on the board of Dance/USA, the national service organization for non-profit dance.

CELEBRATION: Del Posto Restaurant
Entrance of Del Posto Restaurant
The company's opening night celebration promises to be as thrilling off the stage as on. The post-performance reception and dinner with the company's dancers & musicians is being held at Del Posto Restaurant, one of the very top restaurants in this city full of great restaurants. Here is how Zagat's describes Del Posto:
FOOD 26 -- DECOR 27 -- SERVICE 26 A “well-oiled machine” is putting it mildly at this “sumptuous” Chelsea destination from the Batali-Bastianich juggernaut offering “high-end Italian” cooking “without peer” abetted by “elegant” service, a “deep” wine list and a “majestic”, balcony-lined setting;.. most agree it’s the “total package for that special evening.”
