Open Arms

Open Arms has different goals than the company’s two other Level 1 programs (Lar’s Dance Your Dreams and Open Doors). Where those two programs seek to provide intense in-depth exposure to dance for a necessarily limited number of students, Open Arms seeks to enable a much larger number of students to attend a live performance by the company at an exceedingly low cost (generously subsidized by the company). The company works with the Office of the Arts & Special Projects of the NYC Department of Education to identify underserved schools whose students are invited to attend at least one professional performance per year.
